We visited Sarchi on our way back to San Jose from Puntarenas. Sarchi is a small town not far from San Jose (about an hour's drive). Sarchi happens to be Costa Rica's most famous artisan town. At Sarchi on both sides of the streets numerous stores can be seen selling furniture, souvenirs, and various other handmade artifacts.
