These shots were taken during a three day backpacking trip in April, 2008. We started at the confluence of the Deschutes and Columbia Rivers and walked along an abandoned railbed tweny four miles to Mack's Canyon.

The opposite side of the river has live railroad track; rafters and fisherman float the river; bikers and hikers use the trail aliong the eastern bank and there's even a small airstrip on the west side of the river along the way.
