These pictures were taken at Cook Forest State Park, in Clarion County, Pennsylvania, on October 10, 2009. Cook Forest is located off of I-80 near Clarion, PA, about a two hour drive from Pittsburgh. Cook Forest is an old-growth pine forest that was a locus for the timber industry in the late 1800’s. A National Natural Landmark, the “Forest Cathedral” is a breathtaking sight to walk through.
