Caught the Old Phuket Town festival in conjunction with chinese new year celebrations up in Phuket this year. walking street festival and appreciated the Sino-Portuguese Buildings found along the main streets of Old Phuket town. Old-style boats (gorchan)launched and floated down the Bang Yai klong (canal), which runs alongside Queen Sirikit Park. Local delicacies and traditional sweets, Chinese opera, local dances, music and Chinese folk dance troupes all ingredients to great day out to soak in the new year festive mood.
