Tree frogs are frogs adapted to live on trees in rainy forests. They cluster in two groups that evolved independently from a common ancestor that didn't live on trees. They represent an example of what the biologists refer as "convergent evolution". The red-eyed tree frog (Agalychnis callidryas) is an American species.
