Though most people will tray to find butterflies on flowers, a wet spot on the surface of a sunny trail may offer a much better chance. Ground salts ascend to surface in that places, and butterflies may come there by dozens to drink this salted water. This is what this orange daggerwing (Marpesia beriana) is doing.
