<noembed><nolayer><div style="position:absolute; left:0; top:-100; display:none;"> Korean War memorial 2003<br> Monuments &#38; Memorials in Ottawa picture - (Yoo, Young Mun was the sculptor). More than 32,000 Canadians of all branches of the Forces served in the Korean War and subsequent activities commencing in 1950, and 516 gave their lives. This monument features a Canadian soldier, facing toward Pusan, Korea, where an identical monument watches over the graves of 378 buried in the UN cemetery there. Two Korean children, holding symbols of Canada and of Korea, accompany the soldier. It was unveiled in 2003 by Prime Minister Chretien and the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea. </div></nolayer></noembed>
