In all the skirmishes and battles government forces lost 58 dead and 93 wounded, while the rebels lost 70 dead and nearly a dozen wounded. This 1888 statue by Percy Wood commemorates two Ottawa sharpshooters, John Rogers and William Osgoode, who perished at Cut Knife Hill, one of the battles won by the rebels.
