Santorini (also known as Thera, Thira, or Fira) is a volcanic island located in the southern Aegean Sea. It is the largest island of a small, circular archipelago and is southernmost member of the Cyclades. The group of islands form the caldera of an ancient volcano with Nea Kameni, the still growing new volcano, at the centre.
