These were taken during a Galapagos trip with National Geographic in partnership with Lindblad Tours. We flew to Guayaquil, Ecuador, then to the islands, where we met the Endeavour, our home for seven nights. The ship had 86 passengers and 68 crew.
All land tours were guided, as 97% of the land mass of the Galapagos is national park, where one can only travel with a licensed guide. Each day featured a hike of perhaps 1-2 miles, sometimes over rocky terrain. Snorkeling was also available.
