Where is Óbidos?
Cities in Portugal picture - It is perched on a hilltop about 100 km (60 miles) north-west of Lisbon, just inland from the Atlantic coast. As early as the mid-700s it was the site of a Moorish fortification, which was captured during the Christian reconquest in 1148. Today it is picture-postcard mediaeval town, with a population of slightly more than 3,000 surrounded by a fortified crenellated wall.
