I got the opportunity to go up to "The Rock" of Gilbraltar on September 2010. I took the cable car near the botanic garden. What a view. I got lucky and was possible to see the African continent at the other site of the Strait. You must take care with the monkeys there. They are free and they will not boder you if you keep your packages in front of you and DO NOT carry any plastic bags. Monkeys learned and associate plastic bags with food. So, they can be agressive to get the food they believe is at the bags.
