on the 6th of July 1915, 500 years after Jan Hus’ death. It was sculpted by Ladislav Saloud who was inspired by the famous French artist Auguste Rodin. The project was totally funded by donations. This rare example of an Art Nouveau memorial depicts Hussite warriors on the left, and huddling Protestants forced into exile 200 years later on the right.
