This photo journal, which continues my Debrecen series, features the significant churches & synagogues I visited in the city.
The historical significance of religion in this city is summed up by its oft-used epithet "The Calvinist Rome." With its Great Church, the largest Protestant Church in Hungary, and the nearby the Reformed College, and at least 2 more Reformed churches, this small city is in fact a hot bed of Protestant culture.
