The lone wolf travelling was over as I made the logical decision to join up with an overland bus company with fellow backpackers on my way through Botswana and Namibia. Two countries that were not nearly as densely populated as those I'd been through previously, and therefore less likely to support my local busing and hitch-hiking ways.
The African Overland Club truck I joined enabled me to get my proper English back and rejoin the social and drinking scene that I had only encountered sporadically
