This photo journal, which is part of the Morelia series, is the 1st of a two-part set featuring the wonderful city of Zamora located 125 kms NW of Morelia. It is the 3rd largest city in the state of Michoacan & the most significant population center between Morelia and Guadalajara. In addition to several other historic churches, Zamora has two cathedrals, which is unusual. The most famous one, dedicated to our Lady of Guadalupe & the tallest cathedral in Mexico, was 'unfinished' until last year (2010).
