I started at the Wire Pass trailhead. I hiked through Wire Pass Wash, then Buckskin Gulch, then Paria Canyon. I completed the trip in three days, two nights. The trip was about 45 miles. There is little elevation change, but this is not an easy hike. Walking in sand can be tiring. In Buckskin Gulch there are some cold pools to wade through. In Paria Canyon you are in and out of the river all day. There are two long stretches with no water, 14 miles and 12 miles. And the last 20 miles or so gets pretty rocky and rugged. The scenery is
