Daily garbage pickup is by private firms. An advance 'courier' comes down the street ringing a school bell to let you know they are on the way & to put your garbage out in front of your door. It's customary to give them a few pesos/bag. I gave my pesos to the farmacia ladies to give to them. They came before 8am & I wasn't going to stand outside my busy door way, which was the bus stop, in my pjamas waiting for them LOL As you can see they did some separating for recycling on the fly.
