In June of 2003 my daughter and I visited the Ngorongoro Crater as part of a month-long safari in Tanzania. I had read a lot about the Crater and was very anxious to see it. The Crater was awesome, but I was disappointed in the wildlife sightings. The weather was rainy and cool and that may have been part of the problem. Whatever the reason we dind't see either the numbers or the variety I had expected. The Crater is an amazing spot. It is hard to believe that a volcano could turn into the Garden of Eden.
