In June of 2003, my daughter and I visited the Serengeti NP as part of a month-long Tanzanian safari. We spent the first few nights at a campground in the center of the Park. We did game drives in all directions and saw a lot of animals. The wildebeest migration was on and there were many of them, and zebras, moving through the area. We had planned our trip for June hoping for this experience. We then broke camp with the intent to move into the northern part of the park. But when we got to the new campsite the area was deserted.
