In June of 2003 my daughter and I did a month-long safari in Tanzania. The first two-thirds was on the northern curcuit and then we flew to the Selous and spent a week. We stayed at the Rufiji River Camp and it was a good experience. The Selous is a very large park and hunting is still allowed in part of it. When we were there we saw very few tourists and the area seemed much "wilder" than the north.
