In June of 2003 my daughter and I did a month-long safari in Tanzania. The first two-thirds was on the northern curcuit and then we flew to the Selous and spent a week. We stayed at the Rufiji River Camp and it was a good experience. The Selous is a very large park and hunting is still allowed in part of it. When we were there we saw very few tourists and the area seemed much "wilder" than the north. The animals were not nearly so used to people and it gave a different feeling than other areas of Africa I have visited. The ... (more)
