Living in Southern California,it is easy to do a trip to neighboring Arizona. On this trip we began by visiting friends near Tucson, then headed north to Flagstaff, with side trips to the Grand Canyon and Sedona. Flagstaff is about 8 hours from Los Angeles. I have done variations on the trip about five times in the past ten years.
