BETH JACOB SYNAGOGUE
Churches, Temples & Mosques in Regina picture - At 4715 McTavish Street. There were nine Jewish residents living in Regina as early as 1891. The official Jewish community was founded in 1904 & the first prayer meeting took place in 1905 in the private home of Jacob Shachter. The first synagogue in Regina opened in 1913, & because the first prayer meeting was held at Jacobs home, it was decided that the congregation would be called Beth Jacob Congregation.
