These pix were taken on February 16 2012, at the Sorrento Ocean Beach, Mornington Peninsula National Park, 80 km south of Melbourne.

They show the coastline, beaches, and the world-famous Sphinx Rock Formation.

My visit started at the main car park, then a 3 km return hike up the staircase to the Lookout, then down to the beach to the Sphinx.

Lots of activity as thr tide was out!
