We drove from Wellington to Rotorua via Hastings, Napier and Taupo. The weather was not the best but at least we got some sunshine in Rotorua. Rotorua was a bit of a tourist trap but the natural wonders of the mud, lakes and giant redwood trees made up for that. Next stop Dargaville, Kaitaia and Cape Reinga.
