United Nations HQ
Boat Tours in Manhattan picture - It is a complex of buildings opened in 1952, located on 17 acres of land where 42nd street meets the East River. The official languages of the Secretariat are English and French, while those of the General Assembly also include Arabic, Chinese, Russian and Spanish. The flags of its nearly 200 member states are flown in English alphabetical order. This was the point at which our tour boat turned around and headed back southward toward the harbour entrance to visit two tiny but very important islands.
