passing Battery Park
Boat Tours in Manhattan picture - It is a 25 acre (10 ha) park at the south-west tip of the island. It got its name from an artillery battery that was once located there. Besides being a welcome recreational space, it is the departure point for ferries to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, and for water taxis, which are a fast and convenient means of getting from one end of the island to the other.
