<noembed><nolayer><div style="position:absolute; left:0; top:-100; display:none;"> Dahlquist Building (1905)<br> Sightseeing in Washington picture - at 1311-1313 North State St was one of the first reinforced concrete buildings erected in Bellingham. It was erected for Dahlquist&#39;s Bellingham Bay Grocery Company with rooms to rent on the upper floors. The south side, on the left, was the grocery store &#38; the north side (now State Street Bar) was converted into a garage and auto dealership with the basement converted to hold up to 30 cars. The red brick for this building came from the building next door that was demolished after a fire. </div></nolayer></noembed>
