My intrepid grad-student friend, Maggie got a Summer internship in Wabash, IN. What better opportunity for a righteous roadtrip??

Our Route? The 70, more or less. Going through CA, AZ, UT, CO, KS, MO, IL and IN.

I had to divide my monumental stash-o-pictures into bite-sized themes. This first entry is the first leg of our trip, the drive through Las Vegas, our camp in AZ, the next day in Zion and cute towns along Route 89 to rejoin the Hwy 70.

Fortunately, Maggie and I are "into" the same sort of thing - history, architecture and cuteness in general. I have a special soft spot for ruins...
