Sightseeing in British Columbia picture - This 10 foot sculpture of a grizzly bear, the symbol of Kelowna, is the centerpiece of Stuart Park which officially opened in Sept, 2010. Stuart Park is at the south end of Waterfront Park. [When the townsite was laid out in 1892, the city was given the name Kelowna meaning 'grizzly bear' in the Okanagan First Nation language.]
