Former Fintry Queen Ferry Sightseeing in British Columbia picture - is now a dinner cruise paddle wheeler. The former ferry, an important symbol of Okanagan Valley history, carried residents to communities around Okanagan Lake from 1948 to 1958 until a bridge was built uniting the communities on either side of the lake. The 325-passenger vessel was then revived as a dinner cruise paddlewheeler. Sadly, the former paddlewheeler suffered $20,000 damage in Dec 2011 when vandals trashed the docked vessel, which is in receivership. Five employees of a Kelowna cleanup company donated a coveted pre-Christmas day off repairing some of the damage.
