I visited the scenic Wombelano Falls on July 31, 2012, in the Wombelano Block of the Kinglake National Park, 70 km NE of Melbourne.

Approximately 98 per cent of the park, including the office and most visitor facilities, were burnt by the Black Saturday bushfires in February 2009. Work is ongoing to rebuild major visitor sites. The Falls Track, car park, signage and viewing platform have been completely rebuilt, following their almost total destruction in the massive bushfires of February 2006 and again in February 2009.
