St James Catholic Church
Sightseeing in British Columbia picture - at 2607 27th Street on East Hill. The imposing Gothic Revival church, faced with rusticated concrete block, has a central buttressed tower topped with a four-sided steeple. The church was built in 1908-10 on donated land after the congregation outgrew an earlier wooden Catholic church that had been built in 1896. The church bell was bought from Savoi, France in 1902.
