The Salish, a Flathead Indian tribe, were also encamped here and provided hospitality to the party. Their descendants probably regret they didn&#39;t have a more stringent enforcement policy regarding illegal immigration. For those not familiar with Indian tribes, please don&#39;t get up in arms. Flathead is a term used to describe a group of three inter-related tribes in the Rocky Mountain area and is still in common use today.
