Stopped at the Sawtooth National Recreation Area visitors center near Ketchum for information on hiking in the Redfish Lake area. The Fishhook Creek Trail is 6 miles around trip, mostly flat with a little elevation change. At the end of the trail is a meadow with views of the Sawtooth Mountains. It was a beautiful day considering there were forest fires in Central Idaho, the smoke had filtered down to Ketchum/Sun Valley area where we were staying. We saw a variety of birds, rodents, many badger holes, and some wildflowers. We did this hike in mid August.
