Along with the fire hall, it was built after the 1915 fire that destroyed much of Ogema&#39;s Main Street to prevent any future fires from spreading. The wall is significant because it was considered a foolish investment by government officials who said it wouldn&#39;t last more than a decade. Now, some 100 years later it is one of the only structures of its kind in Saskatchewan. The boarded up building on the left was a hardware store. </div></nolayer></noembed>
