New England is famous for its fall foliage. Colors first peak in northern New England and then slowly descends downwards towards Boston and Rhode Island. Columbus Day weekend is usually the best leaf peeking time. After that, northern Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine reach past-peak while Boston area and Rhode Island reach the peak of colors.
