When I lived there, the Arizona Memorial was a stand-alone commemeration of the attack on Pearl Harbor. Now, it is part of a larger Pacific War Memorial that includes the battleship U.S.S. Missouri on which deck the Japanese surrendered, ending the war, and the submarine U.S.S. Bowfin, a WWII attack boat that conducted nine war patrols and sunk numerous japanese merchant and naval ships, a Vichy French merchant ship, and a barge, crane and bus (look it up!).
