That was the time of the construction of the buildings from the old district of Santa Cruz, all of them built in the colonial style of the Spanish XVI century. Such a style was actually the Renaissance style proper of Andalusia and Extremadura, which is found from the Canary Islands to South American cities like Cuzco, Cartagena de Indias or Antigua Guatemala.
