Kauai no ka oi - in the Hawaiian language it means Kauai is the best. I know opinions will vary but, for me, that's the truth. I've lived on Oahu and visited all four of the major islands multiple times but, if I had to choose one, it would be Kauai.
Even though traffic has become a bit more clogged, especially in the Lihui area and along the windward (east) coast, Kauai is still the most laid-back and relaxing of the islands.
