My wife and I stayed here on one trip and I have always thought it was the most beautiful resort or hotel I had ever stayed in. It was so amazing that the bulk of Elvis Presley's movie, Blue Hawaii, was filmed on its grounds. However, over 20 years ago, tropical storm Iniki came along and, when it was over, the hotel had been devastated, Damages were so bad it was not economical to repair and it was fenced off and the jungle has been reclaiming it ever since. What a waste!
