The bottom of the pot is actually not flat. Most is elevated as an inner mountain (Lomo de las Chozas) which top is called “La Cumbrecita” (The Little Top), and the creek draining water from the Caldera surrounds it. In addition, some water flows to the South by the secondary creek seen in the lower right corner of the satellite picture (picture from Google Earth).
