The Domkirke in Roskilde on Sjaelland in Denmark dates back to 1170 when Roskilde was the capital of Denmark. Thirty seven Danish kings and queens are buried in spectacularly embellished marble tombs inside the cathedral. On Saturday mornings a lively fruit and vegetable market is held in the nearby square.
