Growing up in Glasgow City, back in the late 50/s early 60/s it was quite the norm to take boat trips /doon the waater/, the was a special trip I took with my mother before I left for New Zealand back in the early eighties. The SS Waverly was famous in it/s time for cruising down the River Clyde from downtown Glasgow.
