Cedar Breaks National Monument is much like a leftover remnant of Bryce Canyon National Park, located near Cedar City, Utah. It has only one large amphitheatre of hoodoos. Although the hoodoos do not stand out as much at Cedar Breaks as they do Bryce, the variety of colors in the rock in such a small space do.

In addition to the amphitheatre, there are two short hiking trails along the rim above the amphitheatre, and there is a nice campground.

Most of the Bryce & Zion crowd skip this park - it/s a bit out of the way, and at over 10,000 feet, it/s closed most of the first half of the year with snow. The Brian Head ski resort is located nearby.
