The Wat Chaiya Mangkalaram Siamese (Thai) Temple across the street was established in 1845 & is often referred to as the reclining Buddha temple. This Buddhist temple, of Thai architecture, houses the world's third longest reclining Buddha at 33 meters.|
Behind the statue are niches where urns, containing the ashes of devotees, are placed.
Normally, taking pictures of the Buddha is forbidden, but I got away with it but did not use a flash.
Inside the temple you see (beside the Buddha) bald headed monks walking on tiles, with lotus flower on it.
