WHERE THE RED FERN GROWS
We have been reading the novel by Wilson Rawls, WHERE THE RED FERN GROWS, and discussing the setting of the story. I have been looking for photos to share with my students. The book describes the setting as in the valley or foothills of the Oqark Mountains in Oklahoma and near the Illinois River, 30 miles from a city called Talaquah. So thanks for the photo. This is as close as well probably get. Teacher 6th grade Kentucky!
