In the State Of Oklahoma roses will grow from April to October if given proper care. It seems they somehow withstand the harsh winds that blow most of the hot, dry summer. But they thrive on loving care and a little food now and then. I have grown Roses for several years and have about 12 varities which will give my family and me much pleasure. My roses do not get picked, have always told my children, I like my roses like I like my kids, *outside*!
