Shaun: thanks for pointing out and correcting that error. The article should say that the "area around Bihac" changed hands several times". At least that is what I was told when I was there.

factual irregularity
interesting article but i would like to point out that bihac did not change hands even once during the conflict. yes it was under siege for a very long time and other close towns such as sanski most did suffer takings and subsequent retakings on several occasions. the people of bihac and of 5th corps however held their ground and it remained an enclave throughout the war. there was an occasion when the forces of fikret abdic pretended to be in the town, but that ruse failed dismally.

Interesting posting !
Last year, I had the occasion to spend a few days in Bosnia, as a simple tourist.
